As passionate advocates for both aesthetic excellence and social impact, our journey with the Black License Plate began with a simple realization: none of the existing license plates did justice to our all-black car's sleek design. With a background in volunteering with nonprofit organizations dedicated to promoting safer roads for all road users, feeding those in need and increasing affordable housing for all, we knew that this venture could serve a greater purpose.

With the proceeds from each plate sold dedicated to supporting these important causes, every sleek silhouette on the back of a car becomes a beacon of hope and opportunity for those in need.

The proposed plate conforms to the existing rules around custom license plates which requires a large white box, so it's not all black like we originally envisioned, but it's still pretty cool. 

The DMV requires 500 pre-paid applications before it will consider this plate application. The initial application must be processed as a single submission with one check and submitted by February 15, 2025. To comply with this requirements we are collecting applications and fees using Zeffy.
